Product and Size

Which glove size should i choose?

To determine your glove size, start by measuring the circumference of your hand using a measuring tape. Then compare your measurement with the size chart (unisex or female) assigned to the glove model. Read more about sizing and fit in our size guide.

SIZEGUIDE

What is the difference between a women’s model and a unisex model?

Women’s models have a slimmer fit than unisex models. If you wear size 7 in a unisex model, we recommend choosing size 8 in a women’s model.

Is junior size 7 the same as adult size 7?

No. They are produced according to different size charts. The main difference is that junior sizes have shorter fingers than adult sizes.

Are there different size charts for baby and junior gloves?

Yes, there are different size charts. Read more in our size guide.

SIZEGUIDE

Should i choose the same size for all three layers? (Liner, Base glove and Shell glove)

We recommend choosing the same size for liner, base glove and shell glove. If you wear size 8 in your liner and base glove, choose size 8 in the shell glove. However, if the shell glove is only available in sizes 7, 9 or 11 and you wear size 8 in the base glove, we recommend choosing size 9 for the shell glove.

Do leather gloves stretch over time?

This depends on the type of leather used. Thinner leathers used in our dress gloves (such as peccary, carpincho, deer, moose and lamb nappa) will generally stretch over time. More durable and thicker leathers used in our sport gloves (such as goat leather and cowhide) generally do not stretch over time.

Do gloves shrink when exposed to moisture?

Leather does not usually shrink when exposed to moisture. However, our wool linings may, in some cases, shrink if exposed to a combination of moisture, heat and rapid friction.

Which is the warmest glove?

The warmest gloves in our range are ARMY LEATHER EXTREME MITT 35161 and ARMY LEATHER EXPEDITION 35091. You’re also welcome to explore our full selection of the warmest gloves. If you often feel cold hands, we recommend reading our guide.

GUIDE – HOW TO STAY WARM

Can i use my liner separately?

One type of liner, such as Touch Point Active, can be used as a liner, as an extra warming layer with a base glove, or on its own as a thin glove for activities such as running. The other type, such as Pile Lining, is a replaceable lining intended only for use together with a shell or base glove.

Do handcuffs / carabiner come with your gloves?

If handcuffs and/or a carabiner are included, this is specified under “Details” on the product page. If not included, they can be purchased separately. Please note that some models lack attachment points for handcuffs.

Are Czone and GORE-TEX the same?

Both CZone and GORE-TEX are waterproof and breathable membranes that make the glove waterproof. The difference is that CZone is our own membrane, while GORE-TEX is supplied by the brand GORE.

Care Instructions

How do i wash my gloves and how often should i do it?

Leather should not be exposed to unnecessary moisture, as it dries out the leather and reduces its quality. Therefore, leather gloves should generally not be washed. If you do need to wash your leather gloves, please read our washing guide for instructions. For gloves made of 100% textile, we recommend following the care label inside the glove.

I want to repair my gloves myself. Do you have any tips?

Because we offer many different glove models made from various materials with different functions, it is difficult to give general repair advice. If you have specific repair questions about a certain model, please contact one of our Concept Stores or our claims department at returns@hestragloves.com. We recommend attaching a photo of the glove for faster assistance.

The lining in my dress gloves is damaged. Can it be replaced?

In many cases, we can replace the lining for a fee, but not for all models. For advice and possible lining replacement, please contact one of our Concept Stores or our claims department at returns@hestragloves.com, preferably with a photo attached.

Can i use Hestra leather balm on my dress gloves?

No. There are other ways to extend the life of dress gloves. We recommend using Hestra Leather Balm only on sport gloves made of goat leather or cowhide. Leather used in dress gloves often has difficulty absorbing leather balm, which may cause the gloves to become sticky or uneven in color. Read more about caring for dress gloves under glove care.

How often should i apply leather balm to my sport gloves?

Leather balm extends the lifespan of gloves by maintaining the leather’s suppleness and durability, preventing it from drying out and cracking. The more frequently you use your sport gloves, the more often you should apply leather balm. Read more under glove care.

Are sport gloves treated before use or should i apply leather balm before first use?

When sport gloves are delivered from our factory, they usually do not need treatment before first use. However, if the gloves have been hanging in a store for some time, the leather may have dried out and could need treatment. If the leather feels dry – apply balm.

Can i use other impregnation products than Hestra leather balm?

We do not recommend using other impregnation products than Hestra Leather Balm. The balm helps extend the glove’s lifespan by maintaining the leather’s suppleness and durability. Please note that leather balm does not make gloves waterproof.

My gloves changed color after using leather balm. Can i restore the original color?

Lighter leathers will most likely darken when treated with leather balm. As the gloves dry and are used, the leather may lighten again slightly. However, it is not possible to fully restore the original color once it has darkened.

The leather in my gloves transfers color. Is this normal?

All dyed leather may transfer some color, especially when exposed to moisture and friction. Stronger colors generally transfer more than lighter ones.

E-commerce & orders

I have not received an order confirmation. What should i do?

An order confirmation is sent to the email address provided at checkout a few minutes  after your order has been completed on hestragloves.com.
If you have not received an order confirmation, please first check your spam
or junk folder. If it is not there, please contact our customer service before placing a new order. 

Can i cancel or change my order?

No. In order for you to receive your order as quickly as possible, all
orders are sent directly to our warehouse for processing. This means we are  unfortunately unable to cancel or change an order once it has been placed. 

Can companies shop via your E-commerce store?

It is not possible to place orders as a business via our e-commerce store at hestragloves.com. If you wish to buy as a company and become a retailer, please contact us at b2b@hestragloves.com. 

Do you offer gift cards for your E-commerce store?

At present, gift cards are unfortunately not available. 

If a product is out of stock in your E-commerce store, can you see which retailers have it?

No, unfortunately we are not able to see that. 

I want to buy an out-of-stock item. Will it come back in stock?

Many of our popular models that have been part of our range for several years are usually restocked multiple times during the season. More seasonal models and
colors are typically delivered once per season. 

Delivery

How can i track my delivery?

On the same day your order is shipped, a delivery confirmation with a tracking link is
sent to the email address provided at checkout. You can track your delivery via
the tracking link. 

What should i do if my parcel / item is damaged during transport?

If your parcel is damaged during transport, do not accept the delivery.
If you have accepted a damaged parcel and the item is affected, please contact our  customer service immediately. 

What delivery options are available and how long is the delivery time?

For deliveries within Sweden, we offer standard delivery to a pickup point within 1–3
business days via PostNord. You can easily select your preferred pickup location at  checkout. Unfortunately, we do not offer express delivery at this time. 

I have not received my parcel. What should i do?

First, check the tracking link in the delivery confirmation sent to your email when  your order was shipped. If you cannot find the delivery confirmation in your inbox
or spam folder, or if the tracking link does not show the parcel’s status, please contact customer service immediately. 

Can you deliver to my workplace / a hotel / another public location?

No. For security reasons, we do not deliver to PO box addresses, hotels, or other public locations. 

Do you deliver to British Forces Post Offices (BFPO)?

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to ship gloves to British Forces Post Offices (BFPO). 

Invoice

When will i receive my invoice and where can i find it?

If you choose to pay by invoice, Klarna will send the invoice to the email address  you provide at checkout. The invoice is sent on the same day your order  leaves our warehouse. You can view and manage your invoice in
the Klarna app or at Klarna.com.

Why am i not able to pay by invoice?

Klarna always makes an individual assessment of which payment options  they can offer you. This assessment is based on several factors, such as payment history, purchase amount, and external information.
If your purchase is declined for a specific payment method, it means Klarna
is unable to offer credit for that purchase.

Do i need to pay the invoice even if i have made a return?

Yes. We recommend that you pay the invoice even if you have made a return,
as we cannot guarantee that your return will reach us before the invoice due date.
The invoice will then be refunded via Klarna once your return has been processed. 

For purchases made within Sweden, you can instead register your return in
the Klarna app or at Klarna.com to pause the invoice. 

Repairs & Claims

I have lost my left / right glove. Do you sell gloves individually?

Unfortunately, we do not sell gloves as single items. With an active annual range of over
400 models in different colorways, we consider it neither physically, environmentally,
nor economically viable to stock single gloves.
Another important aspect is that a used glove wears, changes color,
and shapes itself to the hand over time, meaning a new single glove and
a used one would differ in appearance and feel. 

Can you repair my gloves?

If you have a pair of HESTRA gloves that need repair, we can help at a cost (as long as it is not a warranty claim). You can visit one of our Concept Stores or contact our  claims department at returns@hestragloves.com. Please include a photo of the glove for
faster assistance.

Note that we are currently only able to assist customers within the EU. 

Can i purchase extra materials to repair my gloves?

At this time, we are unfortunately unable to offer extra materials for glove repairs.
If your HESTRA gloves need repair, please visit one of our Concept Stores
or contact our claims department at returns@hestragloves.com. 

I bought my gloves from a retailer x years ago. Can i file a claim directly with you?

No. Claims should always be made through the place of purchase. 

I have discovered a defect in my used glove. How do i file a claim?

If you wish to file a claim, please read more under CLAIMS.
