For over 90 years, we have developed gloves that will warm, protect and give a dexterity in the most varied environments.

For over 90 years, Hestra has had a single focus, hands and gloves. Our mission has always been the same: to create gloves that keep hands warm, protected, and sensitive to every touch, no matter the environment or activity.
Much has changed since our beginnings, but we are still based in Hestra, a small town in Småland in south of Sweden, where it all started.
Our journey began in the 1930s, in a small farmhouse in the timber forests. Martin Magnusson arrived here with his family and set up a workshop. The first gloves he made were for local lumberjacks, people who worked hard with their hands and needed better protection. When a ski slope was built in the area and tourists started visiting, Martin realized that more people could benefit from durable, high-quality gloves. His sons, Lars-Olof and Göte, and later their sons Svante and Claes, grew up as passionate skiers and started working in the company from a young age. Over time, the reputation of our gloves spread far beyond the town that gave us our name.
Today, Martin Magnusson & Co is run by the fourth generation of the Magnusson family. Design and development still take place at our headquarters in Hestra, while production happens in our own factories, where we source all leather, fabrics, linings, and other materials ourselves. This gives us full control over the production process – something that shows in every glove. Several models are still handmade by some of Europe’s most experienced glove makers. Each year, we produce over 2.2 million pairs of gloves. We have around 65 employees in Sweden, subsidiaries in the USA and Germany, and retailers in more than 40 countries.

What once grew out of the timber forests has now evolved into a collection of over 450 models – for sports and outdoor activities, fashion where function meets design, and work gloves for professional users who demand the highest standards.
